The new PureCTF Pro by dyna and majic has been put online.

Several bug fixes, but also a very important new feature to prevent abuse and professionalise the community.

We now have TWO sorts of users - guests and registered users.
- Guests cannot participate or initate votes (e.g. no voteadmin, cannot vote yes/no for everything etc)
- Registered Users can do anything you could do in the past, including voteadmin and voting .

Added feature is the command "Userlist" where you can see who are currently logged in.
This means that a lot of people who want to play under a different name - like majic --> shaz@m, can still be recognized when trying to create fair teams.

The server will check if you have the proper userkey, and will give you full access to everything. This must be done _before_ connecting to the server, else you will remain to be a guest .Obviously you are free to remove this key from your config and play anonymously, but this automatically means you are excluded from voting and becoming admin.

Hopefully you understand this will create a safer, more lamer-free environment. Also when being a guest you cannot check the userlist, so you never know who you are playing against (if they have a different nick also). It's up to you!

Obviously abuse with userkeys will not be tolerated and will most likely result in a permanent removal of your user account.

If you find BUGS in the current modification(s) please report them to majic or dyna. Bugreports will be treated confidentially.

------------------------------------------------------------------

The procedure is as follows :

Download an empty userkey.cfg here (right click --> save as !)
Save it to your quake\qw
Edit it and enter the userkey that was given to you by majic (majic@quakeworld.nl if you dont have a key yet)

It should look somewhat like this :
setinfo userkey AbC123F

Finally put a line in your NORMAL quake config (autoexec.cfg or config.cfg) that says "exec userkey.cfg" .

Thats it....you can connect to the server as a full registered user and everything works as it used to.

Have fun!
